3. Upload IFC

Files exported from BIM and CAD software in IFC format can be uploaded on your project page. To upload, either drag’n’drop the file or click the dropzone to select the file. If you don't have access to an IFC you can test the service with one of our sample IFCs (unzip the file before uploading to the service). Please note that Tridify currently supports IFC 2×3 format.

You have two process options to choose from:

  • Split by storey - All storeys in the IFC file will be separated into their own files. It is advisable to use this option to make files easier to navigate and work with. This is required if you are planning to create a Viewer of your BIM. This option is also needed  if you will be generating lights in Unity with Tridify BIM Tools.
  • Generate ceiling slabs and extras to storeys - For developers! Upper storey floor slabs and lower storey stairs will be appended to each storey as 2 additional files.
This is useful to get complete single storeys with less memory usage in Unity.

Please note that default settings are recommended for web publishing.

Once you have selected your options, click Start processing.
